A member company is interested in locating statistics on the number of adjustable pitch blade hydro-turbines (greater than 5 megawatts) existing in Washington state as well as within the United States.

A couple quick thoughts for this inquiry. You can do some analysis of count and size using the EIA. If you search for EIA Form 860 it provides a thorough listing or all types of generating assets.(Energy Information Administration) data. (I am not sure if it breaks down to the type of hydro turbine, but that information may exist within the data set.)

Another possible source is NERC GADS. They can be reached at gads@nerc.net. NERC has a data set for all types of units and may be able to help you with this request.
