FREE VIRTUAL EVENT: As we call upon Waterpower Week participants to play a role in raising the industry’s voice before Congress, we will offer everyone an opportunity to join an advocacy training webinar.  In the time allotted, we will have policy and Capitol Hill professionals provide an overview of the new Congress, discuss the role of key committees and the power of leadership positions.  Importantly, we will hear from former Hill staffers on the “Do’s and Don’ts” of Hill meetings and calls.  All of this is to encourage industry representatives to reach out to their congressional offices and deliver effective messages to:

  • Secure major tax incentives as part of the infrastructure package
  • Reform the hydropower licensing process
  • Ensure parity with other renewables in a climate package, and
  • Obtain record RD&D funding for hydropower and marine energy technologies.
